Growth Group Guide

  1. What is the hungriest you've ever been?
  2. Read Haggai 2:10-17. How do these verses illustrate the waywardness of the people?
  3. What are some ways people try to find hope in themselves? How have you tried to find hope in your own faithfulness? What was the result?
  4. Read Haggai 2:18-19. Just as the people had to trust God's faithfulness while they waited for harvest, so we often must wait and trust God's faithfulness. What do you find most difficult about waiting?
  5. Read Haggai 2:20-23 and Matthew 1:13. How does God work in and through Zerubbabel?
  6. How do we continue to trust God's faithful provision in our lives knowing that we may never see that fruit in our lifetime?
