🛶 Men's Growth Group will be hosting a canoeing event at Turkey Run on Saturday, August 30th! Open to all adult men! We'll be canoeing for 3 miles along Sugar Creek with carpooling from CCCI at 8:30 AM and return around 2:30 PM. Price for entry is $12 per person.   1. How many of the Ten Commandments can you name from memory?
  2. Read Deuteronomy 5:1-22.
  3. What do most people think of the Ten Commandments? How have you thought of the Ten Commandments? Why?
  4. Read Deuteronomy 5:6-7. Why is v. 6 important to properly understanding the Ten Commandments?
  5. How do we often add another god to our worship of the only true God? Why is this a breaking of the first commandment?
  6. How is the first commandment foundational?
  7. What are your functional gods? How do you discern them?
  8. We destroy idols by repenting and believing the gospel – again and again. How does the gospel counter your functional god(s)?
