Guidelines for Short-term Mission Trip Support
Revised 2025
Purpose
The purpose of the CCCI’s short-term mission support is to encourage members of the CCCI, CCCI youth and CCCI-affiliated young adults to participate in outreach missions. This support program seeks to:
- Nurture a heart for service, foster a mission-oriented mindset, and cultivate cross-cultural understanding within the congregation.
- Strengthen partnership with sponsoring organizations and deepen teamwork among mission team members.
- Ignite the growth of personal faith through the commitment of financial resources and time dedicated to advancing God’s Kingdom.
Governance and Approval of Short-Term Missions (STMs)
All Short-Term Missions (STMs) must be organized and conducted in accordance with CCCI Statement of Faith, or under the direct supervision and collaboration of a missionary supported by CCCI currently serving in the designated mission field.
- Evangelistic Outreach: Activities focused on evangelism.
- Mission Field Visitation: Visits to support missionaries currently receiving support from CCCI.
Guidelines for Financial Support and Scholarship:
- To ensure proper review and coordination, all proposals for STM financial support, including all required documentation and relevant information, must be submitted to the Mission Committee at least thirty (30) days prior to the proposed departure date.
- All applications for financial support or scholarship will be reviewed and approved by the Mission Committee.
- Funds generated through church fundraising activities will be applied first to satisfy any fees or expenses required by the host entity in the designated mission field. Any remaining surplus funds will be administered at the discretion of the Missions Committee, in conjunction with our church treasurer.
- Youth and young adults up to age 22 may apply for financial scholarship, provided they submit an endorsement with consensus from the STM team leader(s) and pastoral staff.
- Subject to the availability of funds and upon application, CCCI members may receive up to $750 in financial support per person per year. Youth and young adults up to 22 may receive up to $750 in scholarship funds per person per year. The support will not be more than 40 percent of the total STM related expenses.
