Growth Group Guide

  1. Describe the most incredible thing you've ever seen -- in nature, film, your refrigerator, etc.
  2. Read John 4:43-45. Work as a group to describe all the events to which John is referring. (Hint: John 2 and 4) Why is this context important to our text?
  3. Read John 4:46-54 with the following parts: narrator, official, and Jesus.
  4. Describe the official's crisis, how Jesus responds, and how the official responds. What is notable about the official's response?
  5. How have you seen God work in your life through signs or miracles? Would you still believe apart from them? Why or why not?
  6. How would you encourage a friend who saw no signs, but still believed?
  7. How would you challenge a friend who saw signs, but didn't believe?
  8. Why is the resurrection of Jesus so important?
