Growth Group Guide

  1. If you could "borrow" something from a famous person or company without getting caught – but had to give it back in 24 hours – what would you take?
  2. Read Deuteronomy 5:1-19. Which of these first eight commandments have you found the most thought provoking? Why?
  3. What kind of people need to be told, “You shall not steal”? In what ways are you that type of person?
  4. What are some common ways we steal today, and how do we justify it?
  5. What attitudes and actions does the eighth commandment commend?
  6. How does the gospel help us be generous?
  7. Prior to the sermon, how would you have rated your obedience to this commandment? Why? Did your rating change after the sermon? Why or why not?
