Growth Group Guide

  1. What (initially) “good” ideas have you had that turned out poorly?
  2. Read Judges 1:1-2, 3,4-11, 19-21, 22-26, 27-33, and 34-36. What grade would you give each based on the command to take the land?
  3. What are some reasons they don’t fully take the land?
  4. Read Judges 2:6-19, and then describe the cycle of the judges.
  5. What picture would you draw that captures your impression of the book of Judges so far?
  6. What subtle slides of sin do you perceive in our society? In your life?
  7. How did Jesus complete the job? How can that encourage us?
  8. Memorize Judges 21:25.
