STM 2012: Taiwan

After a great experience in Taiwan in 2011, we are looking at returning to learn and serve in Jesus' name!

Travel dates from IND: July 3 to 23, 2012
Week 1 (starting July 7): English camp in Taipei (with Leeman's sister's church) - Leeman leading
Week 2 (starting July 14): Bilingual camp with VGM - Shuguang or Hongxia leading
Cost: ~$2,000 (airfare being the majority of it)

April 29: Complete the Wordless Book training (please be able to present in both English and Chinese)
April 29: Week 1 Team training at church from 1 to 4 pm
May 20: CEF Training at church from 1 to 5 pm
June 10: Week 2 Team training at church from 1 to 4 pm
June 24: Send-off & prayer during English Service + Week 2 Team training at church from 1 to 4 pm
July 3: Leave IND
July 6-7: Ministry in Wulai near Taipei
July 8-14: Ministry in Taipei
July 14-21: Ministry with VGM
July 21-22: Travel back to Taipei
July 23: Leave TPE
July 27: STM Sharing during FNBS

Servant heart
Participation in training and preparation sessions (typically on the weekends; there is significant preparation that goes into leading these camps!)
Basic understanding of Mandarin Chinese (can you understand this and this?)
High school or older
Completing the application form

Note, the team will be limited to ~10 people total.

I will be in Asia already; may I still join? - If you meet the qualifications and can arrange your own travel to our meeting place, you are welcome to apply!
What if I'm going to be gone all summer and cannot make the training and preparation sessions? - We can work around that as long you do your fair share of work!
May I use my frequent flyer miles? - Yes.
Is Justin going? - My current plan is to let Leeman and Shuguang/Hongxia lead as their Mandarin skills allow them to be much better leaders than me! (remember the STM 2011 anthem!) In addition, with baby coming, my ministry will need to be focused a bit more on the home front this summer.
