MCCA Past and Future

Hello Parents and Coworkers, It was so great to see many of you at the MCCA retreat (Midwest Chinese Church Association) this past weekend. I was personally encouraged in my spiritual walk, and I hope that you were as well. It was also a great time to connect with you informally at meals and activities. I hope that you're all able to attend next year, which will be July 1-4 (Friday through Monday). Save the date!!

Last Week (July 4)

Sunday Theme We have a committed team of coordinators, teachers, and assistants serving in the Sunday School ministry. Hopefully they all enjoyed their week off.

This Week (July 11)

Sunday Theme Since we did not have Sunday School last week, we will cover two themes this week:

1. God answers Hannah's Prayer (1 Samuel 1)
2. God speaks to Samuel (1 Samuel 3)

Children's Ministry Library There are three more Sundays to participate in the Summer Reading Program! If you have been reading a book for the program, please return the book this week and bring your passport to get stamped. It seems that somebody borrowed the CM Library copy of the Hands-On Bible without signing it out. If you have it, please bring it back. Looking Ahead

• August 15: Faithweaver Curriculum Training from 2:30-4:30.
• September 19: Mandatory parent lunch meeting. Parents, have you gotten a chance to read the book Raising a Modern-Day Joseph? If not, please make plans to read it by the end of August! You can borrow it from the CM Library for free or purchase it from me for $10.
