Hello Parents and Coworkers, I wanted to let you know that our daughter Emily was born on Thursday June 3! I want to invite you to see some photos and read some of the details by visiting our family blog.

Last Week (June 6)

Sunday Theme We began our Old Testament series with the story of Gideon leading 300 Israelites in battle against 10,000 Midianites (Judges 7-8). Gideon's army must have been an amazing one, right? Not really--check out 7:2 and 8:22. Are there times that God does amazing miracles in our lives, but we take credit for them?

This Week (June 13)

Sunday Theme The children will learn about Samson receiving strength from God (Judges 15-16) and consider what gifts the Lord may give people to do His will today. Sunday School Homework This will be the first week of checking the homework for the students in this ministry year. Please have your children bring their binders with their completed homework, and have them put the binders in the bins for their new classes. Summer Reading Program The Children's Ministry Library will be hosting a summer reading program from June 20-July 25 (see the first attachment for the details). During the Action Hour, the Elementary children will visit the library to browse our books and hear about the reading program. Congregational Meeting If you are a member of CCCI, please make plans to attend the congregational meeting this Sunday at 10:30 (see the second attachment for the details). New Registration Forms If you have not yet submitted your child's registration form for the 2010-2011 ministry year, please print the 3rd attachment, fill it out, and give it to me this Sunday.
