Holiness, Love, Worship, and Soreness

Posted by Guest

Gatherings

Thursday: EM Small Group at the Young's starting at 7:30 pm. We'll cover chapter 9 on God's holiness.

Friday: During Friday Night Bible Study the Youth Group will continue our study about the mission of God in the world and learn that love is personified in God’s Son, Jesus Christ, who came as the atoning sacrifice for our sins. Our text will be 1 John 4:9-12. We start at 7:30 pm in the Youth Room.

Sunday: Last week we saw that worship is through Christ. [sermon audio and resources here]

This Sunday we have Sunday School at 9:30 am. There are two excellent classes from which to choose.

At 11 am we join together for our Sunday worship service where we'll continue our series on worship and see that worship is corporate. Our text will be Revelation 5.

Prayer

Give thanks for the fruitful Youth Group ski trip!

Please pray for the relief work in Haiti following the devastating earthquake. In particular, pray for the YG's Compassion International child Cabilos and his family. As Michelle mentioned on Sunday, if we don't hear anything (which we haven't), that means Cabilos is okay.

Please pray for our upcoming Pastors and Deacons Retreat on Friday and Saturday. Pray that God would guide our decisions and vision!

He argues persuasively that Millay's reputation has been harmed not only by academics who dread and fear her heartfelt "simplicity," but by the very admirers who wished to promote her as a kind of whimsical flibbertigibbet, a poetical Anne of Green Gables.
