Today is the beginning of Lent, a time of preparation as we journey to the cross on Good Friday and the resurrection on Easter Sunday. As such, we will be highlighting some devotional thoughts written by Noel Piper. Read this week's thought here.

Next Thursday (2/18): All Young Adults are invited to share their thoughts at an informal focus group gathering at the Youngs' house starting at 7:30 pm.
Friday: During Friday Night Bible Study the Youth Group will see that our hearts are to overflow with praise to God in response to His great love for us. Our text will be Psalm 103:1-12. We start at 7:30 pm in the Youth Room.
As a result of the inclement weather, all activities have been canceled for tonight (Friday, February 5, 2010). Enjoy the night at home and consider the following snow-related passages:
“He spreads the snow like wool and scatters the frost like ashes.” (Ps 147:16)
“Come now, let us reason together,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.” (Isa 1:18)

Thursday: On Thursday night at EM Small Group, we'll finish the last chapter of Tozer's book (chapter 10 on God's Perfection). Join us at the Youngs' at 7:30 pm.

This Sunday we have Sunday School at 9:30 am.
